hmm.

okay, so whats new? well i signed up to this amazing site called sf0. basically, you create a fictional avatar, usually yourself, and go about doing tasks on the site. only, it works a bit differently. you do the tasks in real life, then submit evidence for completion of the site. there’s some great tasks to do, right now i’m going to do one in which you have to stand on a street corner and wait for something fantastic to happen. i love it. so far i’ve done two tasks, one being the initial “upload a picture of your avatar” and another in which i had to create a spoem. i’ve recieved 3 votes which is awesome! my username is Dicko if you’re on it.

other then that, nothing much has happened recently. i’ve cut my thumb, we found hentai pictures in the college toilets and nothing else has really happened. boring eh?

wow, quite a bit to write about!

firstly, the golden compass. we saw it on saturday. now, as a film on its own it was fairly decent. definitely rushed and confusing for those who haven’t read the book, but it was a decent film. lots of big stars in the film too, i guess that’s a good thing? i don’t know. anyway, to those who have read the book: it is the biggest letdown of the year. it barely follows the book, with things changed (they say the alethiometers were destroyed, but in the book there are about 4). i was sat there going “what?” a lot since it didn’t follow the book, which it should have done since the book is about a million times better. that said, we had fun in the cinema anyway.

saturday we went to newcastle, and i saw leigh. we walked around, got wet, looked around the shops, drank hot chocolate, got a free hot chocolate, went to the cinema, had fun in the cinema, lost glasses in the cinema and so on. i had a great time.

speaking of films, there is a chance that there might be a pocoyo movie! to those who don’t know, pocoyo is a little kids tv show, shown on CITV. it’s awesome. anyway, reading through stuff on the wikipedia article, it mentions this:
“Two series have been produced, each consisting of 52 seven-minute episodes. A future third series is on hold as the makers wish to embark upon other projects, one of which may be a Pocoyo movie.^“
a pocoyo movie! how awesome would that be? oh i’m excited already. but i’ll keep it under control, i know what happens when i get excited about a movie.

how big are battles now? i heard “atlas” on TOP GEAR last night. top gear! i never expected to hear battles on top gear, but they’ve also made appearences on jools holland and are featured in the guardians top 20 albums of 2007.

big up to the boro, who beat arsenal 2 - 1 yesterday. unbelievable. we played brilliantly and would have got it 2-0 if it weren’t for arsenal’s final goal in the 95th minute.

and in one week i’ve racked up nearly 2,000 views. that’s pretty cool. thought i’d mention it. also, i did this, it’s quite cool:

so this weekend has been certainly interesting. sort of.

well, saturday was really good. went to leigh’s house and met all of the family. that was pretty good. her brother is a big chav but that’s ok. apparently i got off lightly, be he wasn’t so bad. i also ate delicious cakes and hash brown sandwiches. lovely. we watched dvd’s and then left earlier than usual as leigh and co. were going to a mcfly concert. haha. i had a good time, that’s what mattered.

anyway, when i finally got home, i went to liams. i was feeling ill all day, but i felt alright at liams. so i got to drinking with the gang, smoking rollies with james and having a good laugh. but i felt really sick and was sick all over liams from drive. how lovely. sorry liam! i saw them all today and they mocked me :(. i was ill though!

sunday was composed of playing ocarina of time all day. i’m just up to adult link, with like 10 hearts. i’m awesome. i was sick a few times and had a can of lager with a chav. it was quite funny.

today leigh is in manchester, at some sort of art gig. i’m just hoping i can get some credit tonight to phone her.
so lately i’ve been listening to a LOT of dntel (in case you didn’t know, dntel is jimmy tamborello from the postal service) and i’ve found a fantastic song done with why? from cLOUDDEAD, one of my favourite… i’m tempted to say hip-hop but i won’t… bands. it’s brilliant. it is called torpedo or chrons, and can be found below. give it a listen.

i’m also going to be shameless and advertise the hype machine. basically it scans blogs for music and allows you to play the songs through a flash player on the site. excellent for work or at college. it’s free but i think you might need to register to listen to songs. find it at hypem.com. i use it every day to listen to music. the song can be found here. give it a listen. yes it’s hip hop, but it’s good hip-hop! i like to think of it as hip-hope.

so today is when GUITAR HERO 3 is out. finally. i am going to go to my friends and play the fuck out of it. although he can barely do hard mode so it’ll be a bit of a drag to get him up to speed. but yes, we’re going to play co-op mode i am very excited!

in other news: i am seeing leigh tomorrow. i am more excited about this than anything! although she’s going to see mcfly (don’t ask) tomorrow too. never mind. i found this across the internet somewhere, so enjoy.  it makes me laugh everytime i see it.

speaking of which, the mighty boosh last night was EXCELLENT. it really was. although the first episode was a bit off, last night’s episode was absolutely hysterical. my hope in the mighty boosh has been restored! the next episode looks great too. never mind the buzzcocks was pretty good last night as well, not as good as last weeks but still pretty good.

so hi, long time no see etc. not much been happening really.

i saw leigh on saturday. we met up in middlesbrough and our intentions were to go to middlesbrough’s institution of modern art. we’d arranged to meet up with a few people (louise might, richard might, cloey definitely). anyway, we scoured the town, getting lost (i don’t know middlesbrough that well, so it’s always good learning where things are) and buying things. leigh bought a peter petrelli poster and other stuff i can’t mention. i bought a slush puppie (i’m poor okay? :( ). so yeah we walked around more, and it was very cold so we often made trips into warm places. i’m guessing leigh was bored by this point, but she’s too nice to say so (though she let it slip later when i said “so you’re finally enjoying yourself?” and she agreed). we were sat knitting and eating pocky (it’s delicious) when we met up with cloey. had a nice chat then had a walk around with her and her friends until they left for the bus and we sat in milligans drinking tea trying to get warm.

we decided to go to the train station for much smooching and fondling. then she went home :(.

not much happening during the week. uhm, got drunk last night (which wasn’t too good as i didn’t get to speak to leigh much) and on the way home in the taxi i had a lovely discussion about radiohead. peter is shit and likes linkin park so we were mocking him badly. i had fun. 

well, i thought i’d make a post saying i’m getting my haircut in 20 minutes.

maybe i’ll post a picture. i don’t know.

all i do know is that i’m actually quite nervous.

also, battles on jools holland were fantastic. and i finally found out the lyrics to atlas! on battles myspace blog haha. funny stuff.

today is mine and leigh’s month anniversary. that’s right, a month. god that went past bloody fast. it’s been a great month, it really has. let’s hope there are many more to come!

so like, i haven’t been updating this as much as i’d want to. pretty much because i don’t have much to say (for once). it’s been pretty interesting lately though.

firstly, saturday i saw leigh. we went to watch 30 days of night. it was… pretty alright. i guess. it was a typical and predictable horror (though one part made me jump, only once!) but the hero dies at the end, which is pretty unusual.

speaking of films, i saw “the birds” last night. although it’s a really good film, the ending just… well, it’s awful. they just… drive off. i don’t get it. couldn’t they have at least blew the birds up or soemthing? mind, thinking about it now, it is very logical, seeing as the army was possibly being called. for birds. yeah, i did enjoy it though. hitchcock movies always interest me, this one in particular.

anyway, back to saturday. we went shopping (leigh bought me some skinny jeans, when i finally let her) and we had a really nice time. we then went to a pub in sunderland, where i met some new people and got bought a legal pint! which was all good. then i had to go home, which wasn’t all good.

the night i just got drunk. you know how it is.

i am now however ill. my friend lydon is making sure i don’t die, which is good. last night i just stayed in for once. yeah.

i’m running out of things to say. something you might like is that i’m actually using categories again. that’s good.

Okay, this is essentially stolen from my friend who made this topic on a forum, but basically i met up with some internet friends and we partied in what is known as a “britmeat”. yeah, here it is for your viewing pleasure (it’s HUGE). kudos to richard for making this.
