interesting

think i’m going in the water again, maybe this time i’ll just float along.

wow, quite a bit to write about!

firstly, the golden compass. we saw it on saturday. now, as a film on its own it was fairly decent. definitely rushed and confusing for those who haven’t read the book, but it was a decent film. lots of big stars in the film too, i guess that’s a good thing? i don’t know. anyway, to those who have read the book: it is the biggest letdown of the year. it barely follows the book, with things changed (they say the alethiometers were destroyed, but in the book there are about 4). i was sat there going “what?” a lot since it didn’t follow the book, which it should have done since the book is about a million times better. that said, we had fun in the cinema anyway.

saturday we went to newcastle, and i saw leigh. we walked around, got wet, looked around the shops, drank hot chocolate, got a free hot chocolate, went to the cinema, had fun in the cinema, lost glasses in the cinema and so on. i had a great time.

speaking of films, there is a chance that there might be a pocoyo movie! to those who don’t know, pocoyo is a little kids tv show, shown on CITV. it’s awesome. anyway, reading through stuff on the wikipedia article, it mentions this:
Two series have been produced, each consisting of 52 seven-minute episodes. A future third series is on hold as the makers wish to embark upon other projects, one of which may be a Pocoyo movie.
a pocoyo movie! how awesome would that be? oh i’m excited already. but i’ll keep it under control, i know what happens when i get excited about a movie.

how big are battles now? i heard “atlas” on TOP GEAR last night. top gear! i never expected to hear battles on top gear, but they’ve also made appearences on jools holland and are featured in the guardians top 20 albums of 2007.

big up to the boro, who beat arsenal 2 - 1 yesterday. unbelievable. we played brilliantly and would have got it 2-0 if it weren’t for arsenal’s final goal in the 95th minute.

and in one week i’ve racked up nearly 2,000 views. that’s pretty cool. thought i’d mention it. also, i did this, it’s quite cool:

D:

okay, maybe not quite a bit to write about.

black and white.

well, let’s have a look.

most of last week i was ill, like, really ill. so ill i wasn’t in for most of the college week. what is it? really bad flu. yeah, i’m a whiny bitch but i don’t care. haha.

however, saturday i made it to go see leigh. i had to share the train up with my cousin going to see his girlfriend. it was alright though, entertaining at least. we also got the train cheaper too, as we got a duo ticket. that was quite good. anyway, we got to sunderland, and went to leigh’s house for the usual. it was all rather good, and we ate bagels. we also watched (some of) spirited away(distractions haha). it was bloody good. anyway, we eventually went to pick her sister up from work, and the plan was to stay in sunderland so i could catch my train. but it was bloody cold so we went back to leigh’s for an hour, snug in her bed. it was lovely. i went to catch the bus back to sunderland, but there was a crash. so the bus was majorly delayed. and i was going to miss my train.

so the panic began. we rushed back to her house but her parents had had a drink. so we rang up other people with no luck. i couldn’t get in touch with my cousin as his phone battery was dead, so we had to text like 3 people just to get his girlfriends number to phone her to get in touch with him. yeah. in the end, i got a lift to the next stop and made it on the train. just in time! so that was all fun. when we finally got back in redcar, it rained. hard. we got soaking wet on the way home, but i wasn’t allowed to call a taxi. that was pretty gay.

anyway, i had a really great day.

coming soon is the GOLDEN COMPASS. you cannot BELIEVE how much i need to see this film. i’ve been dying for it since i read the book (northern lights) about 5 years ago. we’re going to see it on saturday at newcastle, it’s going to be amazing. or it better be.

i also watched howl’s moving castle over the weekend. studio ghibli films are always brilliant, but this one was the best i’ve seen so far i think.

this is me.

Okay, this is essentially stolen from my friend who made this topic on a forum, but basically i met up with some internet friends and we partied in what is known as a “britmeat”. yeah, here it is for your viewing pleasure (it’s HUGE). kudos to richard for making this.

there aren’t any camel spiders in redcar, i should know, i’ve looked.

so yes, i’m going to london friday.

everything is hectic and stuff and i haven’t had much time to post or anything, sorry for all you teaplusplusers! (both of you).

but when i get back from london i will be a FREE MAN so i will have plenty of time to update this and stuff, so no worries!

and the other day i saw a big spider in my garden. now, as any frequent readers might know, i am really scared of them and thought it was a camel spider. don’t ask why, i just did. turns out it was a rubber toy. how nice.

a genre defining moment.

sorry for the lack of posts, i’ve been dreading to post since my next post is meant to be a huge one about my trip, but i’m going to make it a page instead when i’m ready.

a few interesting things have happened since i returned to lowly old redcar.

like,  my brother being arrested. that was funny. apparently, he wrote his name in a park and was seen doing it. at first he tried to deny it but later admitted it when his friends made him the scapegoat. thing is, this happened like a month ago since he was at his grandma’s when it happened. and the police came a knocking on the door monday and that’s when my mother finally found out. and she was not happy. i thought it was hilarious.

yesterday i went to martins house. now, martin is a complete cunt but he’s still my friend. anyways, i went to his and we helped write a new song for their bands. i became their bands official photographer or whatever and we had fun. lovely. watching videos of stephen lynch on youtube, wondering how the hell he gets away with it all. especially the song about nazis. amazing.

today however i saw my old best friend from primary school in game. he was on a placement there. anyway, he hasn’t half changed. we were really awkward around each other since it’s been absolutely ages since we saw each other. over 6 years now. but it was nice to catch up with him and stuff. he’s been going out with some girl for 3 years now and is engaged. bloody hell.

but yes SOON I PROMISE there will be a big post detailing everything from my trip to birmingham. with pictures! if you want to see some in advanced, check my myspace as there are a few there.

here’s to you, the mystery man from tesco.

so yeah, sorry for not posting, i know you all will have been DESPERATE for a post. or not.

well, this week has been pretty hectic actually! since i’m going away on friday, it’s been mainly getting ready for that. i’ve had a haircut, new clothes and stuff, and yes. monday was insane, i met up with my old school friends nick and martin, so i hung out with them for a while, then we went and played music at the school and i stayed until about 7. only i had forgotten to leave the keys so my family were all locked out of the house. haha.

tuesday was the haircut, and i shall put pictures up next week probably since going away is more important.

so yeah, my life in a nutshell.

gratitude is only worth it when you get it for free.

in an attempt to make this blog better, i am going to stop saying SO at the start of every fucking entry. oh, and i’m also going to stop swearing… as much.

today was sort of interesting, though the day is only half over. i woke up around 4 a.m, and kept falling asleep and waking up. then at around 7, i got a text from hen since i was supposed to call her before she started getting ready. henrietta is at a wedding today! how nice. but yes we talked for literally 5 minutes then i went back to sleep.

waking up around 10, i finally got round to washing my hair. i have a habit of just not being arsed to wash it. so it gets really greasy. but yes, it is now washed, conditioned and straightened. made an effort today. speaking of hair, i also booked an appointment for the hairdressers. lovely.

got my fucking vans today like. yes, those lovely black and white checkered vans are now mine. cost £32.99. luckily, i didn’t pay for it. i’m saving for this bloody birmingham trip.

anyone know how to play bridge? my grandma and uncle were playing it today, it seems so confusing. there a funny lot my family. they’re very competitive and outspoken. they were playing so seriously for like 10p a win. my uncle david left with 20p and my grandma was not happy. i dunno, maybe its the fact that she lost to him or whatever i don’t know. but they’re funny.

okay, so by trying to make this blog better i made it worse. bollocks.

oh, the answer to my tagged quiz was indeed the hole in my heart story. well done you lot.

and when i get the time, i’m going to teach you lot some good ol’ english slang. i was teaching leindiemeister some, and i’ve forgotten lots, so i’m going to do a nice big post here eventually, watch out for it!

oh, and i’ve been sat here clicking “next” for nearly half an hour. and i’ve come to the conclusion that about 75% blogs on wordpress.com are either complete shite, of interest to about 3 people or are so personal they’re practically private. i think this blog is in this 75%. i was getting alot of blogs about health which is good, but some of them were just crap. i mean, a good health blog would give lots of help and useful recipes and provide support and stuff. these were “EAT HEALTHY.” “HEY FATTY, EAT A CARROT.” etc. utter shite.

i hope that throughout this blog i have entertained at least one person. that would make my day.

here i lie in wait for the end. or was it the bend?

well, not much to report on today really.

i’m definitely going to london on 20th of july. for a few days. that’s going to be hella awesome.

i need to speak to dom urgently about arrangements. if you see this dom, get in touch with me! i have a new phone number, ask mike or some other brit for it and text me or something.

yes, blogs to leave a message, excellent idea.

now, let’s talk about myspace. and how much of a bag of shit it is. really. creating a myspace page is essentially signing your life away to the devil; but not in that sense. no, it’s not addicting (though for some whelps it is), it’s just… UGH. you know, you put a picture of yourself up. great. then you look at other peoples pictures. and they think they’re models and edit their pictures. why? why can’t you put a picture up of yourself, naturally? don’t give me this bullshit about feeling better about yourself or making yourself look better, because if you were so insecure in the first place you wouldn’t put the picture up!  no, they do it for the attention. and why do you take them from such stupid angles people? always looking down. you do realise that that position represents a demeaning value to that person right? so by doing that, AND editing it, you’ve just fucked your image well and truly.

or at least i like to think so. sorry, i just don’t like people who LIVE on myspace and constantly edit all their pictures. please, show your natural self once in a while.

comatosed, deep fried.

sorry for the lack of posts lately, i am now a man of PLEASURE and LEISURE, sorry.

but in all serious, not a whole lot as been happening. nothing to write about anyway. i had a really bad day yesterday, in which my other phone broke as well, and everything went wrong etc etc. today hasn’t been to bad. nothing to report really.

however, today is apparently monumental since gordon brown is now england’s new prime minister. england is well and truly fucked. please, someone tell me what this man has done that’s good. please.

on account of music. well, bright eyes is next FRIDAY people, can’t fucking wait. seriously need to know who’s supporting. SERIOUSLY. GOD SOMEONE TELL ME. but yeah. i can’t really check out any new releases. why? no fucking internet. it’s fucking killing me. someone want to donate theirs?

me and hen are fine, but she’s… well. i won’t go into it, but it’s a bit feminine. mhm. i’ll say no more in case she rips my head off again. love that girl i do.

also, HUZZAH over 10,000 views. wow.

June 28th, 2007 ~ 3 Comments ~ music, opinion, personal, life, internet, indie, interesting, health

the common denominator is fire.

ok, so markalan has tagged me. at first i wasn’t sure, but after reading his post, i figured i had to make 9 statements about myself, one of which is not true. try and guess which one!

ok, here in england we have key stages when going through school. at the end of each key stage you do an exam called SATs. now, at the end of key stage one, i was entered for my key stage 2 exam. 4 years ahead. i was the only one my teacher had ever entered for it. she had to bully the headteacher to let me do it.

i love the rain. it soothes me. you know, just sitting inside and hearing the rain on the outside, knowing some poor cunt is out there getting soaked, and you’re lovely and warm on the inside listening to sigur ros. which is perfect to go with rain.

i hate my mother. lots. i actually can’t stand the woman and anything she does annoys me. i don’t care that you know, she GAVE BIRTH to me or whatever, she’s a terrible mother and i just can’t wait to get away from her.

music! i adore music and will listen to anything from heavy metal to hip hop. my all time favourite genre is indie however, and i love it alot. i’ve been to lots of gigs and discover new bands daily (well, when i’m on the internet), and i love it.

i was once on a life support machine because i had a hole in my heart.

i’m secretly a major geek. i love anime and manga, i have collected magic the gathering trading cards, i’ve played d+d, i know how to code in several coding languages, i play computer games every day and have grew up with them, i’m on a course to create computer games for christ sake. well, not so much a secret really, haha.

i actually can’t stand myself for how i treat people and how i act around people. i can be a true monster, i really can. just awful. and i get upset about stupid things and i just can’ t get over the past. i also have a real problem with trust and jealousy.

me? i’m a complete coward. i’m scared of heights, spiders, insects, deep water, the dark and too much more. always have been. i’m definitely not a fighter.

i used to be able to play keyboard at a grade 4 standard. completely forgotten it now since i was in… year 10? so maybe 2-3 years ago.

so which one was the lie? well, take your guess.
