finally found time to update this. don’t worry, i haven’t forgotten.

not that much has happened since my last update really. leigh and helen came here last wednesday, which was fun… not. there’s not much to do here, especially in redcar. so we journeyed to middlesbrough, drank coffee, looked in the toy section of woolies and sat in the cold. saturday i went to meet leigh’s parents however. although i got a phone call at half 11 waking me up. i was supposed to be there at half 11. silly me. i’d been awake all that night having a heated debate with danny about whether or not giraffes make a noise when they poo or not. we were quite drunk. anyway, they’re very nice and they apparently like me which is all good. though leigh fell down the stairs right in front of me. which was hilarious. we watched some films (labyrinth which was excellent and return to oz. hmm.), ate pizza and then i went home.

i’ve burnt my eyebrow and a lot of my fringe, so now i’m going round with burnt hair. which smells lovely i’m sure you’ll agree.

yesterday i had a brainwave. a tea festival. how brilliant would that be? i could get sponsorship from the likes of earl grey and twinings and get some live bands to play (helen said pretty shitty gay would headline, and i was thinking of asking mr scruff, i know he likes his tea). it would be BYOB (bring your own biscuits) and i’m sure E4 would make a show about the making of the tea festival.

or not. by the way, listen to cyann & ben. they are fantastic. sort of indie, the song “sweet beliefs” is actually incredible. go, listen to it now!

i know, i say that too much.

so after friday (i got quite drunk) i went to see leigh on the saturday. and to also meet up with my long friend louise. we met up and wandered round the usual shops. i bought a v for vendetta mask. we went to the monument and waited a while for louise, and found her outside. she’s really small. like, 5 foot. we went and got pizza (me leigh louise and rachael) and i signed a petition to stop the war, only to get the badge. i like badges.

we wandered round more and met up with ben and helen. more wandering and met up with mark. a bit more wandering and louise and mark went to sleep/get drunk. we then went to a park and drank cider. with sexy as glasses. that was awesome. we then went to get chips. i got the very sexy garlic cheese chips. it was very nice. we went to some sort of grassy area with lights and drank more. it was all fun! then i had to go home. leigh is coming down wednesday though!

i also had a phone conversation with hen. it was actually alright. there was no awkwardness or anything. and i don’t think she hates me, which is good.

as soon as i got back i went straight to liams. we drank too much. i was drinking for about 27 hours. i fell asleep for about 2 hours and woke up half an eyebrow down. it’s ok, danny doesn’t have any now. haha. james, paul and mike came round too and we drank with them for a bit. it was a hilarious night. i crashed out at about 6pm sunday and didn’t get to ring leigh. but she fell asleep too so it’s all good.

also, alex turner (artic monkeys) is doing a solo project. you have probably heard it. he’s enlisted FINAL FANTASY TO DO THE FUCKING STRINGS. FINAL FUCKING FANTASY. the guy who does strings for ARCADE FIRE. UGH. i am going to have to listen to this album now. it better be good.

also, yesterday was elliott smith’s death day. if you haven’t heard elliott smith, take it upon yourself to do it. the man was a genius. 

hoho, interesting!

so i’m trying to knit. well, i’m learning. i’ve been meaning to learn for a while now but leigh… inspired me to start so i have. and she didn’t believe me when i told her. so i am knitting a scarf, using garter stitches at first (not quite advanced enough for anything else yet) with a fabulous teal colour wool. it will be excellent.

i made a facebook account. i’m not sure what my link is yet, i’ll found out in a few hours and update this. so add me or something.

today has been rather interesting!

last night spoke on the phone to leigh. she’s coming down monday now and i’m going there saturday. so i’m taking the day off college (for some bizarre reason our half term is a week after everyone else). oh well. i’m not complaining.

we found 24 - the energy drink. that’s the one from the series. holy SHIT. it was actually delicious. but on the can it says “revive and conquer jack bauer style” so i’m going to go fight some terrorists. we’re also going to make a comic tomorrow, i’ll have to bring my camera. remind me on!

wow, so um. wow.

so like, saturday i went up to see leigh. yeah. we went to the baltic contemporary art gallery and had a great time. then i asked her out and she said yes! awesome.

we then spent the rest of the day being a couple. holding hands, getting drunk etc. well, we met up with friends and they were all buying wine so i got some (leigh doesn’t drink) and we went to the park and drank that. it was an amazing day. we then went to a pizza shop and ate that. only i dropped it on the floor. we still ate it though! because we’re cool.

yeah, jen invited me to stay at hers so i could spend extra time with leigh, bless her. we said our goodbyes and i went to jen’s, was sick and fell asleep. the next morning was basically just recovering. oh, and her family loves me.

i eventually told my mother about leigh. first words out were “is she a goth” and “is she on drugs?” thanks mam.

so yeah, that was my amazing weekend! i now have a girlfriend! awesome.

today is going to be the worst day ever. i can feel it in my bones. seriously.

so like, yesterday i met up with some guy from DiS. DiS (drownedinsound.com), in case you’re wondering, is a music social site type thing. i joined up a few weeks ago and made some friends from the local area. yesterday me and Andrew went for a few pints in the university bar. it was awesome, we talked about loads of stuff, and we’re going to a gig in two weeks with another member, James. can’t wait!

and today… well, i wake up late, quite ill, spray some deoderant but it turns out to be the wrong one and now i smell like parma violets. i forget my wallet, i get wet on the way to college, i keep coughing. i can barely concentrate and i’m hot and bothered and hungry. lucky leigh is texting me or i’d just go to sleep. and get bollocked.

tomorrow will be exciting. i will tell you all about it when i can. i’m going to see leigh, and well… i’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.

so welcome to this new blog. i’m still getting used to it but soon it’ll be bustling. or something.

as of late i have been tickling the ivories again (easy…) for sound in games. it’s been awhile since i last played the keyboard but i’ve been doing pretty okay! have to start lessons again. i also did some sound effects. i am music-savvy!

where is my money going? this saturday i was rich, i had like £130. now i’ve got £60 and the only thing i’ve actually bought was a book that was £2. now, i’m not saying the book’s not incredible, but it is, but what the FUCK have i done with my money? oh dear. ah well, i’ll just get a top up when i’m 18 (not long now people!).

i spoke to leigh on the phone last night. we had a rivetting conversation! it was actually pretty awesome, perked me up a bit since i’d had a boring and dull day. oh, and i’d been told off for hugging my friend by some stupid old bitch of a shop assistant. apparently i was a “danger”. daft cow.

radiohead’s album is outtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. this is the biggest news of the yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

well what’s been happening lately? well i might have told you that my best friend jen was trying to fix me up. anyway we went to newcastle and met her and stuff, and i really like her.

and we’re doing it again this weekend! how awesome is that?

and i met a random girl on DiS who i spent the night talking to. that was rather cosy.

that’s all i have to say now, i’m still exploring this!

so here in little old britain, the legal age of smoking has now gone up to 18. which is shit, since i’m 17. what’s the point in that? to stop teenage smokers? the fact is most start because it’s illegal and cool in the first place at that age, so by raising the bar, the government has effectively fucked itself and the NHS over by making more 16 and 17 year olds acting “cool” by doing something illegal at that age. nice one brown.

lucky, my next door neighbour is a “fag house” (sells duty free cigarettes cheap) so i can fuel my habit.

also, the most important album of the year is out in 10 days. radiohead’s “in rainbows”. i seriously can’t wait. it’s make or break for radiohead, with lp7. i’ve preordered the box set. can’t wait.
